14th Annual Charity Golf Day Tees-Off Fundraising Year!
We are delighted to have teed-off our new charity fundraising year on Thursday 25th April with our 14th Annual Charity Golf Day, where we raised just over £8,100 for Revive MS Support and Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity!
Arriving at The Fairmont St Andrews in the morning and after a welcome from the McCrea team during breakfast, our guests headed to the driving range and putting green to warm up, to ensure they had no excuses for their round ahead on the Torrance Course.
The format was the usual shotgun start Texas Scramble, where all players in the team would tee-off and would pick the best drive. Other players then pick up their ball and play their second shot from the position chosen and the procedure is repeated until the hole is finished. Each team member had to have at least four of their tee shots chosen, which meant that there were some nervy tee shots at the 18th!
Congratulations to team 'Fairway to Heaven', who impressively won the day by 4 shots and earned themselves a fourball at the prestigious Royal Dornoch Golf Club, alongside our winners trophies!
A shout out to our runners-up Just Employment Law who secured a fourball at Gullane Course 1, while team 'McLays Foods' were bottom of the pile, taking away our newly introduced Golf Donkey trophies!
Unfortunately again this year no player managed a Hole in One, with the 8th hole Par-3 being our selected hole to win the Lexus ES300h Premium Edition. We did hear that a few players were very close; there's always next year!
Lastly, a huge thank you to all the guests who came along to support our fundraising on the day by purchasing a team and participating in the fundraising activities across the day, as well as the Golf Clubs who generously donated a fourball to be used as prizes.
