A Year of Charity Fundraising for Revive MS Support and Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity

Our 2024/25 charity fundraising year has come to an end; we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support over the past 12 months, as we’re delighted to have raised £47,108 (incl. £7,060 in Gift Aid) combined for Revive MS Support and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity!

Our sold-out 14th Annual Charity Golf Day on 25th April 2024 at The Fairmont St Andrews’ teed off our year of fundraising, raising £8,100. Having played in the Charity Golf Day, just a few days later McCrea Location Director Jonathan Campbell undertook the 53-mile Highland Fling Ultra Marathon on 27th April through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, finishing with a time of 11:28:57, raising over £4,000.

Combining both golf and marathons, Ross McCrea completed a unique ‘Golf Marathon’ in late May, where he played a hole at 25 different golf courses in one day. Teeing off at the 18th hole at Carnoustie Links Championship Course at 6.21am, it took Ross exactly 15 hours to finish the challenge, putting out at Dunfermline Golf Club at 9:21pm.

Pre-retirement, Douglas McCrea spent four days hobbling around the 65km Clyde Walkway for his Annual Charity Walk in August - just one month before his hip replacement operation - raising a brilliant £5,622.

McCrea advisors Ryan Watt and Michael Macadam went head-to-head in the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in October, both finishing with impressive times of under two hours; although it was Ryan who pipped Michael to the finish line by 8 minutes!

Our Charity Dinner and Wine Tasting returned in late October; a great night of entertainment, a delicious French-themed three-course meal with matching wines and a competitive auction at Maison by Glaschu helped us to raise just under £8,000 on the evening.

Our year of fundraising concluded at our Annual Charity Race Night in February. The generosity of our guests in our raffle, auction and races across the evening helped us to raise £7,784 for our charity partners.

Once again, a huge thank you to every single person who has contributed to our charity fundraising - both over the last 12 month, and since 2008 - as your generosity has allowed us to raise over £800,000 for various great causes in many different ways. It is genuinely hugely appreciated and we couldn’t have done this without your help.

Please do keep an eye out in the coming weeks, as we announce plans for our next charity fundraising year as part of One Four Nine Group!
