Ali Price has been voted Glasgow Warriors McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season.

Price, who turns 24 on Friday, has had a breakthrough season for the Warriors. Scoring five tries in 21 appearances and picking up two man of the match awards on the way.

Voted Most Improved Player at last season's awards, Price won the Warriors Player of the Month award in December and his fine form for Glasgow saw him burst onto the international scene this season.

The scrum-half was presented with his award by Elaine Hamilton, Head of Marketing for McCrea Financial Services, at the club's annual Awards Dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow last night.

Price was voted for by Warriors supporters from a shortlist of ten players, selected by the Warriors coaching team, in an online poll at glasgowwarriors.org.

Fraser Brown, Jonny Gray, Nick Grigg, Stuart Hogg, Lee Jones, Finn Russell, Tommy Seymour, Tim Swinson and Ryan Wilson were also nominated.

Nick Grigg was voted the Denholm Oilfield Services Players' Player of the Season in his first full year as a professional.

24-year-old Grigg played 20 times for the Warriors this season scoring four tries, with his form earning him a place on the Scotland summer tour.

Scott Cummings collected the Cameron House Young Player of the Season award. The 20-year-old shone in the highly competitive lock position once recovering from injury, scoring twice against Ulster in Belfast.

The Capital Document Solutions Most Improved Player of the Season award was presented to lock Brian Alainu’uese who signed for the Warriors in October.

He has since to gone on to play regularly and his performances earned him a new contract that will see him stay at the club for at least a further two years.

Rob Harley and Peter Horne both won The Famous Grouse Coaches Award for their positive contribution to the growth and culture of the club, community and supporters. It was presented to them by outgoing head coach Gregor Townsend.

Stuart Hogg's performances for Scotland saw him win the Harper Macleod Test Player of the Season award. Hogg, who was voted the RBS 6 Nations Player of the Championship for the second year in a row, scored twice against Ireland and once against France as Scotland won all three of their home games for the first time in the competition.

Peter Murchie, who announced he will be leaving the club, was presented with the Al Kellock Leadership Award for the work he's done on and off the field to help make other people better.

East Kilbride won the ScottishPower Community Club of the Year award for their continued work in youth development within their community, supporting the club at events throughout the season as well as at matches, where they have played pre-match at both mini and youth levels.

The BT Try of the Season award was awarded to Josh Strauss for his try at home against Racing 92.
