Stuart Bannigan has been named McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month for January.

Stuart earned his third nomination this season and won a tight battle edging out both Abdul Osman and Tomas Cerny with 35% of the vote, which for the first time took place exclusively on Twitter.

Stuart’s form in January was outstanding as he drove the side on in what was a difficult month for Alan Archibald’s side. Stuart has been selected in every first team match this season, with the exception of two games where he was suspended, showing his value to the team.

Stuart has been the heartbeat of the side, putting in gritty performances as he drags the team forward ensuring the side pick up valuable points in their quest of security.

Stuart has now won a McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month in each of the last two seasons, as well as scooping the Young Player of the Season award in 2013/14.
