Day with a difference for McCreas clients
McCrea Financial Services welcomed a number of clients and connections to Scotstoun Stadium for a day with a difference on Friday (24 March).
The event afforded guests a unique behind the scenes look at Glasgow Warriors final preparations for this weekend’s Pro 12 game against Connacht.
In doing so, they were given a real insight into the way in which the Warriors prepare meticulously for every match, under the watchful eye of head coach Gregor Townsend.
Hosted by club legend Al Kellock and McCreas own former Warriors favourite Doug Hall, guests enjoyed breakfast and Q&A with current stars Josh Strauss, James Malcolm and Pat MacArthur.
“We were delighted to be able to welcome clients for this special event at Scotstoun on Friday,” managing director Douglas McCrea said.
“Glasgow Warriors have built a fantastic culture around leadership, preparation, high standards, expectations and community engagement, and it was fantastic to be able to share part of that thinking at close quarters.”
Highlights included a tour behind the scenes and an opportunity for McCreas’ guests to watch the “Captain’s Run,” the final pre-match training session held on the pitch at Scotstoun.
“Everyone really enjoyed the opportunity to see these final closed-door preparations from pitch-side,” Douglas added. “I think it’s fair to say, everyone had a ball!”
To wrap up a successful morning, both McCreas’ guests and Glasgow Warriors players enjoyed lunch together.
Glasgow Warriors ambassador Al Kellock was pleased to lead the morning on behalf of the club. “It was great having clients and guests of McCrea Financial Services at Scotstoun on Friday,” he said.
“We pride ourselves not only on the rugby we produce, but also the culture which the rugby is built upon.
“It’s always very enjoyable to share our story with businesses, looking at what transfers from sport to other industries.”
