Graham named Partick Thistle October Player of the Month
Thistle number nine Brian Graham has won the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award for October following a public vote this week.
The Jags’ frontman scored twice last month, once in each of Thistle two wins during October. The first was an important equaliser on the way to a 5-1 win over Greenock Morton while the other was an instinctive volley from close range to open the scoring away at Hamilton Accies.
Graham becomes the third different player to get their hands on a Player of the Month award this season with Harry Milne and Steven Lawless the previous winners.
Upon receiving the award, Brian said:
“In all honesty, as much as I appreciate the votes from the fans, it’s not an award I can take much joy in receiving. October was a month that started really well for us but ended up being a really frustrating one with the way the results went and with the injury I picked up ahead of the Raith game.
“We know as a squad that it’s not been good enough. It’s still very tight at the top of the table but if we want to stay up there then we need to start picking up points again. The games don’t get any easier either so it’s down to us as players to get back to the standards we set earlier in the season.”
