Mann voted McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month for January
Jack Mann expressed his gratitude to the Warrior Nation after being voted as the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month for January, taking home the first trophy of the new calendar year.
The number eight emerged victorious in a closely-fought poll on the club’s official Twitter account, beating Henco Venter into the runners-up spot by just 3%.
Mann kicked off 2025 with an industrious performance in victory over Racing 92, helping his side to earn a first-ever home knockout clash in Europe’s premier club competition.
No Warrior carried more often than the former Edinbirgh Accie in the win over Connacht, with the back-rower earning a brace of turnovers for good measure.
Mann’s form since returning from a long-term injury saw him selected in a senior Scotland squad for the first time, linking up with Gregor Townsend’s playing group prior to the start of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations.
“It means so much to be voted as the winner by the fans,” Mann told glasgowwarriors.org.
“It’s probably one of the best feelings you can get, knowing that the supporters value your contributions. To be recognised by them with this award is special.
“It’s also that bit more special because of the journey I’ve been on in the last couple of seasons, with recovering from injury and everything around returning to play, and knowing the fans have been behind me too is a great feeling.
“I just want to help this club go as far as we can both in Europe and the URC, and keep putting in performances that I can be proud of.”
As part of his award, Mann also receives a donation to a charity of his choice, with the number eight supporting STXBP1disorders with his prize.
“My cousin’s son suffers from the disease, so it’s a charity that’s very close to my heart,” he said.
“Anything I can do to help give back and support their cause is huge for me, and I’m delighted to be able to help however I can.”
