Myles Wins August Player of the Month Award!

On-loan Watford goalkeeper Myles Roberts has quickly endeared himself to Partick Thistle supporters in little over a month at the club and his work during August has been recognised with our latest McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award!

The Englishman kept two clean sheets and conceded just three goals in four games during his maiden month as a Jag, making a fine collection of saves along the way.

Deputising for the injured David Mitchell, Myles had big gloves to fill but he’s taken to the challenge admirably and shown considerable promise between the sticks.

Upon receiving the award Myles said:

“You never know what to expect when you’re joining a new club, but I’ve really enjoyed my first month here in Glasgow. To start off, everyone was extremely welcoming and that’s helped me hit the ground running on the pitch.

“We haven’t been able to get the results we’ve wanted but I’ve felt all along that we’ve not been far away and getting that win at the end of the month should hopefully give us a chance now to kick on and get some more points on the board in September.

“Thanks to everyone who voted for me, it’s nice to get the award. Hopefully I can keep getting better and better as the weeks go on and contribute to more positive results for the team.”

McCrea Financial Services have once again committed to a monthly charitable donation for our monthly award winners and Myles has chosen Potter’s House Church Kingston for his donation.

Myles added: “Thanks to McCrea Financial Services for the donation which I chose Potter’s House Church Kingston to receive. My faith is important to me and this will help the work of the ministry there including supporting the young people who need it most.”
