We are delighted to reveal 'Revive MS Support' as our first charity partner for our upcoming charity fundraising year! 

Coming off the back of a record-breaking fundraising year where you helped us to raise £43,060 for the Emma Cameron Foundation and Glasgow Care Foundation, with McCrea also being awarded the 'Best Community Service Endeavor' award by the MFG Supplier Awards 2023, we're delighted to introduce our new charity partners for the 2024/25 fundraising year. 

Revive MS Support is a local charity in Glasgow who provide nationwide support for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis by helping them manage the physical, emotional, social and financial impacts that come with a diagnosis.

McCrea are synonymous with Partick Thistle, and the popular McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month awards have been a monthly staple for the Jags support for much of the last decade. At the start of this season, McCrea introduced an extra incentive for the monthly award winner; a monetary donation to a charity of the winners choice.

Having won the December award, Jags midfielder Ben Stanway chose Revive MS Support for his charity donation from McCrea, and was delighted to hear that we have decided to partner with the charity for the coming year, with the charity being very close to Ben's heart. 

"It means a lot to me to be in a position to help a charity which helps people with multiple sclerosis’’ said Ben. "Choosing Revive MS Support was a very personal choice from me, as the mum of one of my best friends right next door to me lives with the condition. I know she, Geraldine, has good days and bad days and when I'm with my best friend I can tell that too; he can be quiet and down when she's struggling, so I've seen the wider impact of MS first hand. Any way we can make a difference we should try to do that’’

"When I won December's McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award, I asked my friend and his mum if there was a charity a donation would help, and they suggested Revive MS as they have helped her previously. To now see that turn into a year of support from McCrea Financial Services as one of their charity partners for the year is amazing so a big thanks goes to everyone at McCrea. It was brilliant to visit Revive MS's Glasgow base recently and meet some of the staff there and I'm now looking at some of their fundraising events with a view to adding even more support myself."

Our sold-out 14th Annual Charity Golf Day on the 25th April at the Fairmont St Andrews will tee-off our new year of fundraising, which is always a great day out and hopefully helps us to achieve a fast start to the year! 

We are currently planning various other events and fundraisers throughout the year including our Charity Dinner and Wine Tasting evening and Annual Charity Race Night, with many others in the McCrea team planning to get involved in local challenges and events.
