Second Consecutive Player of the Month Award for Sneddon
It’s consecutive McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month awards for Partick Thistle goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon who has scooped the November award after a record breaking month for the Jags number one.
Thistle climbed into the promotion play-off places in the cinch Championship during November with the club records tumbling for the Jags number one. No goals were scored against Thistle throughout the calendar month while Jamie also became the first goalkeeper in Thistle history to go seven consecutive competitive games without conceding a goal. All this after setting a new club record for consecutive league clean sheets – a run which extends back to October.
After picking up his award, Jamie said:
“I’m very proud to pick up this award but it could have gone to anyone in the team after such a good month for Thistle. I was aware of the league clean sheets record after almost doing it last season, but it is down to the entire defence that we managed to make history.
“We’ve had a really good November which set us up for a really important December and we’ll be looking to keep picking up the points to stay as close to the top of the league as possible.”
