Day to Day Life at McCrea

I started working at McCrea in May 2018, as a member of the Paraplanning Support team. I have recently been promoted to Paraplanner which involves assisting our Financial Advisers and clients.

Life Before McCrea

I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in July 2018, with a 2:1 in International Business, and immediately joined McCrea Financial Services as Paraplanning Support before being promoted to trainee paraplanner in September 2020 . I was fortunate to be offered a work experience placement with the company in 2017 and must have done something right as they took me on full time.

Favourite Thing About Working for McCrea

My first impression of McCrea was welcoming and friendly. It was instantly apparent that their interactions with people lie at the heart of the company; I particularly notice and admire how personalised their communications are with clients.

Out of the Office

I spend most of my time socialising with my friends and family, where there is usually food involved, as I am a big foodie. I am also a massive sports fan with a love for Glasgow Warriors and Scotland Rugby and Formula 1 in particular, inspired to a great extent by my dad. I have been known to travel, with favourite trips including visits to Dublin for the rugby or Greece for a sail round the islands.

Fun Fact

I lived in Berlin for 6 months and the main places on my travel bucket list are Fiji, Thailand and Nashville.
